Prestigious ITQI jury rewards 4 Ovidias products with an award
2023 could not have started any better. At the prestigious ITQI Superior Taste Awards, we won 4 awards. Our Amores, Amatoria and Metamorphoses Collection, and the Stirato can were the showstoppers of the night.
What is ITQI?
The International Taste Institute (ITQI) is the leading organisation for testing and promoting superior food and drinks.
The Taste Institute jury panel has over 200 professional, independent flavour experts. They are members of the most prestigious chef and sommelier associations, such as the Academy of Culinary Arts and L’Association de la Sommellerie Internationale (ASI).
How do you win an award?
During the ITQI Superior Taste Awards, the jury goes through a strict process while tasting the various foods and drinks. Every product is tasted blindly and judged based on different criteria like flavour, scent and texture.
Based on the assessment, the jury can give out 3 awards:
● 3 stars: products that scored over 90%
● 2 stars: products that scored between 80% and 90%
● 1 star: products that scored between 70% and 80%
Our award-winning chocolates
Ovidias had 4 award-winning products. The Amores Collection and the Stirato can each received 1 star, and the Amatoria and Metamorphoses Collection each got 2 stars.

- Amores Collection (250g)
The Amores Collection is a mix of pralines created with the best praliné, the fluffiest cream and the most tasteful ganache. Think of pralines with soft praliné and caramelised nuts, cream with coffee, biscoff cookies… We sell these pralines in beautiful, iconic packaging that showcases our sustainability programme.
- Stirato can (76g)
Ovidias is known for its original can packaging. One of them is the Stirato can, filled with a delicious mix of white, dark and milk chocolate pralines.

- Amatoria Collection (250g)
The Amatoria Collection consists of 250g boxes, gift-wrapped with a festive bow. The boxes contain a classic mix of Belgian pralines with tasty filings, like a praliné or coconut filling and caramelised nuts.
- Metamorphoses Collection (200g)
This collection consists of a mix of white, milk and dark chocolates with a smooth praliné filling. They are sold in an original pyramid-shaped box with a blank space for you to write a personal message to the person you’re surprising.
